Quinoa Pizza Base

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups of quinoa

1/2 cup water (plus extra for soaking)

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt 

1 tablespoon dried oregano / basil 

2 tablespoons nutritional yeast (optional - Makes it taste cheesy)

Directions

This recipe make 2 x pizza bases 

1. Place the quinoa in a bowl and cover with water to soak for at least 8 hours or overnight 

2. Drain and rinse the quinoa 

3. Pre heat oven to 180°

4. Either line 2 x baking trays with baking paper or 2 x spring form cake tins 

5. Blend all ingredients in a blender or food processor until a smooth batter forms 

6. Divide the mixture between the 2 x trays or 2 x cake tins - you want to get the bases nice and thin so it does not create a "doughy" pizza.  

7. Bake for 15 mins - then take out of the oven and carefully flip over and return back to the oven for 5 more mins 

8. Top with you favourite pizza toppings and return to the oven until desired pizza crispiness x
